Our Curriculum Offer
When planning our curriculum we have started by looking at the requirements in relation to The Early Years Foundation Stage and the National Curriculum.
The Early Years Foundation Stage is a developmental Framework, it sets the standards that all early years providers must meet to:
- ensure that children learn and develop well
- ensures children are kept healthy and safe
- ensures that children have the knowledge and skills they need to start school

The ‘basic’ school curriculum includes the ‘national curriculum’, as well as religious education and relationships and sex education.
The national curriculum is a set of subjects and standards used by primary and secondary schools so children learn the same things. It covers what subjects are taught and the standards children should reach in each subject.
The national curriculum is organised into blocks of years called ‘key stages’ (KS). Teachers formally assess a child’s performance against the curriculum.
For a pupils' Annual Review of their EHCP the school write a report on each child’s progress to share with parents.
